Matt Ruzga

Executive Chef

A purist, executive chef Matt Ruzga executes a market-driven menu at South Orange’s newest culinary outpost, The Fox & Falcon. Prior to taking post as executive chef of The Fox & Falcon, Ruzga honed his skills in the kitchens of several notable, critically acclaimed restaurants, studying under the tutelage of chefs who’ve earned the respect of industry peers, critics and diners alike. Most recently, Ruzga served as executive sous chef at Del Posto, running the pasta program at New York Times four-star appointed restaurant.  

A Maplewood resident, Matt spends his time away from the restaurant playing soccer in the town’s over-30 league, at the studio playing punk rock with his band – The Rites of Springfield – or cruising around the neighborhood with his wife Maggie and their young son, Emmett.
